This policy explains what accounting8.com collects about visitors and correspondents, and what it does with it. In short: the site sets no cookies, runs no analytics or advertising trackers, and has no user accounts.
When you visit the site
Like any web server, ours keeps an access log: IP address, browser user agent, the page requested, the referring page, and the time. We use the log to keep the site running and secure, and to see which pages are requested. Logs are deleted after 90 days.
The site does not set cookies, does not load advertising or analytics scripts, and does not load fonts or scripts from other companies’ servers. The city search in the header reads a list of cities from our own server.
When you email us
If you email us, we keep the message and your address to answer it and, for listing changes, as a record of what was changed and at whose request.
- Practice listings. If you ask to list a practice for sale, we publish only the listing card you approve. If you inquire about a listing, we pass your inquiry to the seller.
Business listings
The directory publishes business information from public sources: firm name, business address, phone, website, hours and Google rating. It does not publish review text, reviewer names or client information. Where a business is listed under a person’s name, that person can have the listing corrected or removed; see request removal.
Sharing and sale
We do not sell personal information and do not share it for advertising. We share it only as described above (a buyer inquiry passed to a seller), or if the law requires it.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. California residents have these rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act. Write to removals@accounting8.com; we may ask you to confirm the request from the email address concerned.
Children
The site is for adults looking for professional services and is not directed at children.
